We are over the moon that the Government announced that garden centres will be allowed to reopen as of Wednesday 13th May. We imagine you may have a few questions around social distancing and about our new ways of working before coming to visit us, so we have pulled together a helpful list of most frequently asked questions.

Is The Arium Open?

In response to the latest Government guidance allowing garden centres to reopen from Wednesday the 13th of May, following a successful soft reopening, we are delighted to announce we will be open daily from 10am – 4pm. We decided to open our doors an hour later to enable that our staff could have an hour to safely stock shelves and clean to make the shop ready for customers. We are looking forward to welcoming you all back!

Is the café open / other facilities and amenities (toilets, pod & playground)?

Our café, pod, playground and toilet facilities will need to remain closed for now, to minimise the risk of transmission.

Will I be able to bring my Dog?

With the playground closed, we please ask that only assistance dogs come onto site.

Will I have to queue to enter the store?

You may find that you have to queue before entering our store, this is a marshalled queuing system by a lovely member of our team to ensure the limited head count and safe social distancing of 2 meters is enforced throughout our shop.

Are you offering a delivery service?

We are only offering a delivery service to support customers on site that need help taking their goods home with them, if you require this take-home delivery service please speak to a member of the team. We suspect this may be a popular service so we ask that you remain patient as ever with us to best organise a time to deliver.

Are you still offering carry to car?

Unfortunately we are not able to continue to offer this service until further notice, however you can opt for our take-home delivery service.

I have a voucher for Afternoon Tea that is due to expire, but I’m unable to use it now that your cafe is closed. What do I do?

We will honour it for when you can.

What guidelines have we introduced to protect our visitors as well as our staff?

Strict measures have been enforced to best safeguard our staff and visitors including; a marshalled queuing system with limited head count in different areas of our shop to enforce 2 metre social distancing, trolley cleaning decks, marked one way guided routes on our footpaths and protective screens at till points. We also ask that to help reduce contact that visitors pay for their products using card payment only. These new measures may increase wait times, if we could ask that customers continue to be patient.

You will understand that these rules are non-negotiable. We must follow them for everyone’s safety. What we can assure you is that, alongside these measures, you will find our friendly team ready to help as they always do.

What payment methods do you have available?

Our preferred method of payment is by card to reduce contact. We will also be accepting Arium Gift Vouchers.

Is parking available?

Parking will continue as normal, we have 72 car park spaces available, including disabled. We also have an overflow car park if we do become a little busier. We ask that visitors use their common sense and make sure they keep at a safe 2 meter distance when leaving their car to walk into store.

How are you protecting staff?

We are maintaining social distancing and limiting the number of staff in an area at any one time.

Are you offering a click and collect service?

Unfortunately we are not offering this service, however this may be subject to change as time goes on. We will be sure to keep you updated via our socials and publish any updates on the webpage.

I cannot use the gift voucher as I am shielding, what do I do?

They will be valid when you get chance to use them or somebody can use them on your behalf.
